Abruzzo and the sea
Abruzzo, a region to discover, contains a landscape that ranges from the green hills to the blue sea, this particular ambivalence creates a unique touristic territory.
The Abruzzo region is also called the Green Region of Europe due to the presence of three national parks (Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso, della Majella and d’Abruzzo), the Regional Park of Sirente Velino and many oases and reservations.
The Green areas of Abruzzo represent 30% of the entire region.
Within Abruzzo, where nature is the protagonist, it is possible to find a territory that in addition its natural beauty, preserves evidence of a historical and artistic heritage consisting of villages, cities, castles, fortresses, churches and archaeological areas.
In little time, from the internal locations and mountains of Abruzzo, you can reach its coastline: one hundred and thirty-three km of beach skirted by crystal clear waters, certified in some locations by Blue Flags, a symbol of clean water and well-kept ecological values.
The low coast has large beaches with fine sands and in some parts the Mediterranean vegetation still exists, with dunes that mark the border between the beach and a pinewood.
Less sandy, but certainly very impressive, is the rocky southern coast, full of cliffs and creeks with beautiful pebble beaches and coves where it's possible to observe the beautifully clear sea underwater.
Along the coast you can see a unique atmosphere, created by the presence of resorts that animate the coast with entertainment, ideal for both families that look for wide beaches and appropriate facilities, as well as for young people who love sports and the nightlife.
It’s a perfect location for singles and groups but also for the older generations who look for that quiet holiday.
